BLUMI

Design and development of an app that offers recipes based on local and seasonal ingredients: a more sustainable alternative to eat healthily and buy products without having to leave home.

PROBLEM STATEMENT:
Global need for health and well-being, based on one of the sustainable development objectives, to achieve a more equitable world at the human, social, environmental and technological levels.

RESEARCH + DESIGN THINKING METHODOLOGY:
User interviews, surveys, benchmark and desktop search were conducted in the research process.

INSIGHTS:
- Access to healthy food is difficult
- A large percentage of the people surveyed cook at home
- Many people do not pay attention to the ingredients of the food consumed
- Convenience, price and time are variables that affect food purchasing decisions
KEY QUESTION:
How can we get people in urban environments to eat more sustainable and healthy food?

VALUE PROPOSAL:
We take care of you and the planet, giving you the opportunity to cook recipes with seasonal foods - mostly zero kilometer - by supporting local businesses near your current location.

KEY FUNCTIONALITIES:
- Personalization (Shopping List, Step by step recipes, Menu customization)
- Recommendation (Seasonal foods, Geolocation)
- Follow-up (Calendarization, Portion selector)
- Gamification (Progress metrics)
